This study was carried out to determine the effect of growth regulators in low temperature treatment on growth and flowering of Doritaenopsis ¢¥Happy Valentine¢¥ during summer. In case of flower induction by low temperature (day/night: 23/18¡É), the higher BA concentration (100¡400 §·¡¤L^(-1)) increased the inflorescence number, but it decreased the inflorescence length. Number of flowers per inflorescence and flowering rate increased most at 100 to 200 §·¡¤L^(-1) BA compared to control and other growth regulator treatments. On the other hand, 400 §·¡¤L^(-1) BA and 200 §·¡¤L^(-1) BA plus 200 §·¡¤L^(-1) GA3 application led to decreased flower number, flowering rate, and late flowering period, but increased physiological disorder. 100, 200 and 400 §·¡¤L^(-1) ethephon application led to earlier flowering and decreased physiological disorder, whereas, it was the cause of defoliation of lower leaves, and decreased flower number and flowering rate.
